The Flight of 51_PEGASI_B?

HD 0 2 min

On October 6, 1995 Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz (from the Geneva Observatory) announced the discovery of the first exoplanet orbiting a Sun-type star: 51_Pegasi_B, based on observations that they were carried out at the Haute-Provence observatory using the radial velocity method. The host star is 51 Pegasi39, in the constellation Pegasus, about 40 light-years from Earth. The ‘bias’ of these two achievements (The Flight Of 51_PEGASI_B (Part 1 & Part 2) was to use the ‘land available’ AND urban, to illustrate the discovery of this EXOPLANETE, in the most ‘shifted’ way possible… In this case the ‘markings’ of zebra crossings, in Montpellier.
